Let's talk packing... but this time all the good stuff that helps making packing tolerable. These are some of the things I can't live without when I travel, no matter how long or short the trip. I will link (some affiliate) to some under my list for you to check out.

Luggage Scale: Trust me - you need one of these! Especially for the trip home (because you know you are going to buy stuff!)
Packing Cubes: Some may agree or disagree with this one, but hear me out. I use them to not only give me easy access to different items, but it also helps if I need to take something out of my bag if it is too heavy. There are a good variety of them on Amazon, my favorite being Flight 001. The Spacepak ones are a bit more expensive, but I like that it is 2-sided with a "clean" and "laundry" side. I will add links to some other highly rated ones.
Luggage Straps: Seems like an "extra" but I have seen a ton of suitcases come out of the baggage tunnel open with stuff hanging out...it is just some extra insurance that your stuff stays in your bag! I tend to go for a bright color so I can spot my bag quickly!
A good suitcase! My favorite by far is my Away suitcase. I have the large size pink suitcase and the Everywhere Bag that fits perfectly on top of the suitcase and under the seat. My carry-on is from Hideo Wakamatsu in the cherry blossom pattern
Plug Adapter: Most plugs for tablets, phones and laptops are dual voltage so you will need to bring a plug adapter to keep your stuff charged. I like the Flight 001 version because it fits together like a puzzle with adapters to multiple countries.
Clear Quart Bag: Don't settle for a zip storage bag! I have a totally clear one that is easy through security.
Jacket: This Tumi jacket folds up into a neck pillow! It is a great lightweight jacket with the bonus of rolling up into a neck pillow. It was a great buy for me!
