Coming Soon! Adidas x Prada

Let's talk sporty luxe! I have been fan of Adidas since high school - many years ago! I have has a continuous pair of Super Stars (shell-toes) since I can remember and have loved my Stan Smiths for the past few years. Those 3 stripes have been a constant in my life. I have also had a connection to Prada since 2005 when I took a trip through Italy and bought my first handbag from the boutique in Milan. I had that Prada bag for 14 years when I helped it to find another loving home.

So imagine my surprise when I saw that two if my favorite brands are collaborating this year! Now I know that some will say that it is crazy to get a pair of normal looking Adidas sneakers with a Prada logo for luxury prices. But for someone who loves sneakers and handbags and really like the collaborating brands, it is an ideal match for me. I have also purchased a few pairs and tried on countless sneakers from luxury brands and they are not comfortable! I LOVE Gucci shoes, but the Ace sneakers absolutely killed my feet so I had to sell them. So the thought of having sneakers from a brand that I wear on a regular basis in a collaboration with a luxury brand that I like is worth the elevated cost (for me).

I am older now and value my happy feet, but want and love beautiful shoes. I hope that I am able to score a pair when they are released. I will add some pics and a link from the website so you can see the hints they are giving. I hope there is the prospect of couple of clothing pieces!
